He is a firm believer in the positive impact high school sports have on student athletes as part of the overall educational experience. In addition to coaching football, Coach Drury has also coached wrestling and track and field. In addition, the 2014 SHS Blue Knights were ranked #1 in the State. In 2013 Coach Drury received State Coach of the Year honors for the New Haven Register and National Football Foundation Northern Chapter. In 2014, he received State Coach of the Year for the Walter Camp Foundation. He served as Captain in 2004, while earning 1 st Team All-MAAC and All-American honors. He then went on to play college football at Marist College, where he started for four years at Linebacker. Coach Drury is a graduate of Bristol Central High School, where he was named Captain and earned All-State honors in both Football and Wrestling. This is Coach Drury’s 11th year as the Head Coach of the Blue Knights.
